My Story As an Agent

When I first stepped into real estate investing, I did what most new investors do: I relied on a trusted realtor friend to handle all my listings and offers. It worked well, until I realized I was paying out around $30,000 a year in commissions. That was my wake-up call. I noticed that every seasoned investor I admired either had their own license or had someone on their team who did. It wasn’t just about saving that $30k; it was about having that extra tool in my toolkit.

By getting licensed, I could walk into any seller meeting with more flexibility. I could offer cash, creative finance, subto, novations—or if none of those fit, I could simply offer traditional listing services. Plus, joining eXp Realty gave me even more leverage: not only could I handle my own deals, but I could also build a team and earn through revenue sharing. It’s about creating a community and helping others do the same.

So that’s my story. I got licensed to take control of my investments, keep more of my profits, and give myself (and now my team) the ultimate flexibility.
